- CHIPS.NRW e.V. is the most important network for chip designers, chip manufacturers, EDA tool providers and related academia in the state of Northrhine-Westphalia (NRW) in Germany. 
- CHIPS.NRW e.V. is a registered non-profit association ("eingetragener Verein") registerd in the city of Duisburg, but active all across NRW. 

## Who are the members of CHIPS.NRW e.V.?

- CHIPS.NRW has institutional members from the chip industry, such as ELMOS AG, Infineon AG, Racyics, Dreamchip, advICo, IMST and other as well as academic partners like the University of Duisburg Essen (UDE), the Ruhr-University Bochum (RUB) and the RWTH Aachen, among others. 
- CHIPS.NRW also has a lot of personal members, including professionals and students.

- CHIPS.NRW contributes to the microelectronics strategy of the states MWIKE ministry, as organized by the MNWP cluster.
- CHIPS.NRW hosts the RISC-V meetup in NRW
- CHIPS.NRW hosts regular chipdesign community events with technical talks and B&B matchmaking
